Ministry Partners

“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’” - Matthew 25:40

We’re never more like Jesus than when we serve others. We are deeply committed to serving others, and our hope is that each member would find a way to get involved in a ministry outside of the church building. As a leadership, we’ve partnered with 7 ministries in the area that are advancing the Kingdom of God here in our community. We encourage you to partner with these (and any other needs that come to our attention) and serve freely. Find a ministry that resonates with your heart and find a way to get involved!

  • Christian Family Services: Christian Family Services (CFS) provides counseling, pregnancy support services, and adoption placement to women and their families. They’re a ministry of the Campus Church of Christ in Gainesville, FL. They serve over 100 families annually. Jerry Callens is the director of CFS.

  • Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA): Did you know that we have over 23,000 middle and high school students in our Marion County schools? FCA’s mission is to lead every athlete and coach into a growing relationship with Jesus and His Church. They do this through weekly Bible studies on campus, a team chaplain program, training and outreach events, and ministering to coaches. Beef Branard, Michael Alsup, Steven Casaletto, Dusty Walford, Carter Robison, and Ingrid Staley have partnered with FCA in various ways to help students and coaches come to know Jesus.

  • His House for Her: A 12-15 month residential program for woman in transition from addictions and prison. This beautiful ministry provides Women with Christ-centered, professional care. They recognize that when a woman’s needs are unmet, they become barriers that keep her from healing, becoming whole, and transforming her life. Renee Arnett is the director.

  • Mount Dora Children’s Home: Mount Dora Children’s Home (MDCH) offers residential group care for children ages 6-17. They can house up to 14 children in their 2 homes. They also work with single parent families. Trent Wheeler is the staff contact for MDCH.

  • Wear Gloves: Wear Gloves offers short and long term work solutions for the homeless, allowing them to earn what they need. Wear Gloves consists of three ministries: The Dignity Center- a place for those in need to receive work and social services, Dignity Roasters- locally roasted coffee, available for purchase, and Church in the Garden- a church gathering each Saturday at Interfaith. Ken and Wendy Kebrdle are the directors of Wear Gloves. Our ministry leaders for Wear Gloves are Wayne Colyer and Dennis Lenart.

Other Missions

Here are some of the other areas of ministry that we support when needs arise.

  • Florida Prison Ministry: Florida Prison Ministry reaches out to inmates throughout Florida, and teaches them how to find and follow Jesus.

  • Manna Global Ministries: Bobita House, Dominican Republic. We helped build this home back in 1998. It offers housing, food, and Christian discipleship for children in the town of Bobita. We support it each month through our "10 for God and my Neighbor" special collection. If you'd like to support this mission effort, please visit the "Giving" tab located above.

  • Zimbabwe Missions: We support missionary Campion Mugweni as he and his team work to further the Gospel and establish churches in Zimbabwe.

  • Miami Spanish for Christ: Rex Morgan runs this amazing ministry using radio and TV programming to share the good news of Jesus to thousands across the south Florida area and beyond.

  • Women’s Pregnancy Center: Women’s Pregnancy Center of Ocala (WPC) provides support for pregnant women and their families. Some of their services include pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, and parenting classes. Last year, they served over 4,000 clients, enrolled over 110 couples in parenting classes, provided over 1,200 free ultrasounds, and over 95% of clients chose life after their ultrasounds. Their director is Val Reed.
